Across the nation, too many public officials have trampled the Second Amendment rights of people they’ve sworn to serve and protect. If OUR REPUBLIC is to survive, this abusive trend must come to an end and officeholders must honor their oath to defend the US Constitution and YOUR LIBERTY.
As Sheriff, I will not enforce nor allow to be enforced, unconstitutional gun laws in Yavapai county. The Biden administration is leveraging the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms in order to diminish your second amendment rights through administrative action. In Phoenix, you can count on Katie, Hobbs and company scheming to insert a state level assault weapon ban. Yavapai county needs a sheriff who will say no to both.
Yavapai County is facing a crisis with dangerously low levels of patrol and jail staffing. As Sheriff, I will ensure these fundamental responsibilities take priority in the budgetary process. Any expenses not directly related to such public safety concerns will be critically evaluated and subject determination.
There can be no further state level task force assignments until Yavapai County Sheriffs Office Patrol Division has filled its existing complement of patrol vacancies. Vacancies equal slower response time AND patrol backup coverage.
The Sheriffs department belongs to the citizens of Yavapai county! Every dollar given to the department MUST have a provable connection to PUBLIC SAFETY. WE CAN NOT make the same enormous infrastructure investment mistakes (Like the $70 mill Justice Center) again and expect the public to pick up the pieces via another tax increase.
The existing YCSO budget IS enough to effectively Patrol our communities and Safely incarcerate offenders IF we get back to basics and challenge the direction of every dollar that does not support the Sheriffs mission as defined in the Arizona Constitution.
Patrol is very thin, especially in outlying areas. Staffing minimums must be driven by reasonable response and cover unit timeframes. A comprehensive staffing study will become the underpinning of Departmental budgetary decision making.

The primary function of any jail operation is the the safe and humane detention of those awaiting trial or that have been sentenced to a period of confinement. Neither goal can be achieved when Correctional staffing takes a back seat to obscene infrastructure spending.

The voters of Yavapai county trusted their Law Enforcement experts when they were told that a new,”Justice Center” was needed to control jail transportation costs, to improve rehabilitative efforts and to be prepared for larger jail populations. What we got was something completely different.

Katie Hobbs governor ship has already become an abject failure. Public safety has taken a backseat to her woke political objectives. County sheriffs cannot remain silent while drugs, human trafficking and cartels flood the state. As sheriff, I will not silence my criticism of her failed administration in exchange for a slice of grant money.
Always tell the truth!

After several decades working at every level in California law enforcement, I was able to observe leftists build the infrastructure necessary to capture California’s political system while building budget traps for California’s remaining conservative sheriffs. A central purpose of my campaign should be seen as a warning from someone who has observed the Machiavellian plans of the Extreme Violent Left. I literally spent the last five years of my career, resisting their efforts. Now as a proud Arizonan, I’m observing California’s exportation of anti-public safety ideals, and goals here. Arizona is literally the last line of defense for much of the nation. Like Paul Revere, let’s get the word out by ringing the alarms and sharing the information
